2018 Victorian Regional Community Awards

The winners of the prestigious 2018 Regional Achievement and Community Awards were announced at an Awards Gala Presentation Dinner at Flemington – The Event Centre.

The Awards were hosted by Karl Lijnders, PRIME7.

400 guests gathered from across the State including official guest Danielle Green, Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development and Tourism, representing The Hon Jaala Pulford MP, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Agriculture to celebrate regional Victoria’s high achievers. The event was held on Friday (Oct 26).

The ten category winners are:

  • Remax Pty Ltd of Nathalia – Regional Development Victoria Business Achievement Award
  • Dr Skye Kinder of Bendigo – Regional Development Victoria Leadership & Innovation Award
  • Goodwin Village of Donald – Prime Super Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award
  • MSRF Dream Seeds Program of Ocean Grove – South West TAFE & Deakin University South West Regional Achiever Award
  • Upper Campaspe Landcare Network – Parks Victoria Environmental Sustainability Award
  • Kia-Ora Piggery of Yarrawalla – Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning Diversity and Inclusion Award
  • Simply Rose Petals of Murraydale – Prime Super Agricultural Innovation Award
  • Mansfield Armchair Cinema – Ricoh Australia Customer Service Award
  • Wimmera Southern Mallee LLEN of Horsham – Awards Australia Community Group of the Year Award
  • Leopold Men’s Shed – Henry Carus & Associates and Life Activities Clubs Victoria Senior Achievement Award

Winners each received $2,000 into an account in their name from Bank of Melbourne or air time packages on PRIME7 and trophy, a press release said.

MSRF Dream Seeds Program was announced as the Parks Victoria People’s Choice Award Winner and received a voucher for a 2 night stay for 2 people in one of Parks Victoria’s Wilderness Retreats at Wilsons Promontory National Park.

The Awards night culminated a tremendously successful year with hundreds of nominations received from across regional Victoria.
